Cassidy's Hammer

Cassidy’s Hammer is a new musical project made up of old friends. Clay Carlin, Jon E. Gilmore, and Mike Stephens' time together and their musical connection go hand-in-hand, as proven by their intuitive musical chemistry. Cassidy’s Hammer’s music is built off of catchy, original songwriting, engaging, poignant lyrics, and an improvisational spirit fostered by a willingness to stretch the boundaries of their jamming. It is difficult to place their songs in a specific box or genre, especially since they don’t see walls in their music. The best way to describe their sound is to use a term they coined, “Psychedelic Americana,” drawing from a variety of genres including Americana, folk, country, blues, jazz, and rock. They sing songs that resonate with the soul, fill the spirit with light, and make the body move.
