Waitress is a stage musical adaptation of the 2007 film by Adrienne Shelly. It premiered in 2015 and transferred to Broadway, opening in April 2016 and running through January 2020 with multiple Tony Award nominations. A professionally filmed live-capture of the stage production was released in 2023.
