Little Shop of Horrors is a horror-comedy stage musical with music by Alan Menken and book/lyrics by Howard Ashman; it premiered Off-Off-Broadway in 1982 and then enjoyed a long Off-Broadway run. The show was adapted into a 1986 film directed by Frank Oz (starring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene) and has become a cult classic with numerous regional, school, and revival productions, earning awards and critical recognition for its revivals.
