Ryan Beatty began posting song covers on YouTube in 2011 and released his debut EP Because of You in 2012. After a hiatus he re-emerged collaborating with Brockhampton and released the albums Boy in Jeans (2018), Dreaming of David (2020) and Calico (2023). He co-wrote four songs on Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter and was part of the album's Album of the Year Grammy win.
