Formed in 1968, Rush's classic lineup—Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart—became renowned for its technical proficiency and long-running career after Peart joined in 1974. Their albums 2112 (1976) and Moving Pictures (1981) were commercial and critical milestones, and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Neil Peart died in January 2020; Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have since overseen reissues and anniversary tours celebrating the band's catalog.
