Michael Mayo is an American vocalist, composer, and songwriter who studied at the New England Conservatory and the Thelonius Monk Institute (Herbie Hancock Institute). He released his debut album Bones (2021) and sophomore album Fly (2024) on Mack Avenue, has toured with artists including Herbie Hancock, and is noted for dense multi-tracked vocal arrangements and live looping. Fly received Grammy attention, including nominations in jazz vocal categories.
