Lost Cause is a long-running ensemble that performs authentic antebellum and War Between the States repertoire, often for reenactments, historical programs, and National Park Service events. Founded in the early 1990s, the group has released multiple recordings and worked with regional musicians (including contributions from Jimbo Mathus) while preserving and interpreting 19th-century Southern song traditions.
