About
A classically trained double-bassist who studied at the New England Conservatory, he established himself on the U.S. jazz scene and became an in-demand sideman. He won the International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition (2007), was a semifinalist in the Thelonious Monk Jazz Bass Competition (2009), earned a 2010 Grammy nomination as part of a contemporary jazz album, and released his debut solo double-bass album El Suelo Mío in 2020.
