Danish String Quartet

Formed while studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the quartet debuted at the Copenhagen Summer Festival in 2002 and has become an internationally acclaimed chamber ensemble. They have won major international competitions and awards (including Musical America’s Ensemble of the Year 2019 and Denmark’s Carl Nielsen Prize), record for ECM Records, and regularly perform both new Scandinavian works and arrangements of Nordic folk music.
