Founded in 1961 by Lillian Covillo and Freidann Parker, Colorado Ballet is Denver’s long-standing professional ballet company and operates the Colorado Ballet Academy and the Armstrong Center for Dance. The company performs primarily at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, maintains a resident orchestra, and is best known for its annual productions of The Nutcracker alongside a season of classical and contemporary works.
