Amanda Perez broke through in the early 2000s after her debut Where U At? (2002) and the reissued Angel (2003); the single "Angel" was her biggest hit on the pop/R&B charts. She was discovered by a talent manager/producer and had music videos aired on MTV, VH1 and BET, later releasing further albums and independent singles while continuing to post music via her social accounts. Perez has worked with a variety of labels (including Virgin) and has released compilation and independent projects since her initial chart success.
